Macon County Speedway
2006 General Rules
Any person entering pit area must sign waiver of liability, any one not signed in will be removed from pit are.
NO alcohol or drugs allowed on track property.
NO profanity, arguing, or fighting allowed at any time, any where.
All car numbers must be registered with the track.
Previous season drivers will have first option to retain numbers.
Cars must work through lapped traffic without undue roughness to any other car. Track officials can flag lapped traffic to the outside of the track.
Cars unable to run up to speed, do to flat tire or mechanical problems, will be flagged to leave the track.
Any car causing a caution after the first lap is completed will go to the rear of the field. If track officials do not see what happened both cars that got spined will go to the back.
3 spin outs or 3 cautions you are automatically eliminated form that event.
After an event has started, if any track official stops you to look at your car or ask you a question, you to back to your position. If anyone touches your car other than a track official (exempt rule 12) you go to the rear, you can not leave the track and come back during a race.
Tire change rule:
No tire change in heat race.
-1 tire change in feature but not in the final “5” laps.
-3 pace laps time limit to change tire (if you do not make the time limit your out) you must have a tire at pit entrance and your own people to change tire so make some friends.
-No airing up tires, no using other peoples’ tires.
Drivers may not exit their car during official stop of tire change.
Any driver deliberately hitting another car in a violent manner will be black flagged.
Any driver with a complaint may discuss it with track officials at the end of an event. NOT DURING AN EVENT if you or someone you know does, the driver will be flagged off.
Protests may be made by a driver or track official only NOT BY CREW MEMBERS. Drivers only have 5 minutes after feature to protest.
Anyone arguing with track officials are subject to $50.00 fine and a 2 week suspension, drivers and pit crews.
Any DRIVER arguing with track officials are subject to $50.00 fine and a 2 week suspension, and ½ of your points year to date will be lost.
Anyone not idling through pit area $50.00 fine and a 2 week suspension.
No radios of any allowed in cars, no two way radios.
No children allowed in the pit area unless accompanied by an adult at any times.
No one allowed in areas marked off and up to the fence (for your safety).
All cars must have the number on the roof and doors. Numbers must be no smaller than 16” tall x 4” wide each number. Roof number must be readable on passenger side. Must be contrasting color, no spray on numbers.
Any person in pit area without armband will be asked to leave pit area.
No fess refunded.
Any driver that has friends and family in the pits without an armband on will be put to the back.

Modified Rules 2006
1-Any 4 cylinder engine.
2-Any modifications allowed.
3-Must be carbureted.
4-May run an electric fuel pump.
5-Must have an oil cutoff switch for the fuel pump.
6-Must have a flywheel and a working starter.
7-No beadlock wheels.
8-10” wheel width max.
9-Must run 13” or 14” diameter wheels.
10-Any racing tires.
11-One shock per wheel.
12-64” max. tread width. (Measured from the center of the tires)
13-100” max. wheel base.
14-Open Chevettes may run the modified class and the Open Chevette class, but to do so they must have a Chevette engine.
15-No mirrors.
16-Must weigh 2100 lbs.
17No trucks.
18-No wings.
19-8” spoiler ONLY!!
20-Transmissions must have forward and reverse gears.
21-72” body width.
22-Master on/off power switch must be within reach of track workers and the driver.
23-All safety and general rules apply.
24-The track has the final say on all rulings and may create further rules when deemed necessary. Modify The Text 2

Open Chevette Rules

MUST BE A CHEVETTE OR PONITAC BODY.
MUST HAVE A CHEVETTES ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION.
MAY USE AN ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP WITH AN OIL PRESSURE SHUT OFF SWITCH.
MUST HAVE A 6 POINT ROLL CAGE.
MUST CONFORM TO THE SAFETY RULES.
NO WHEELS AND TIRES OVER 8”
MUST HAVE CHEVETTES STEERING COMPONENTS.
